Our Approach to Mental Health Workshops

At Relate & Restore, we believe mental health education should be grounded in compassion, curiosity, and clinical knowledge.

Our workshops draw from attachment science, trauma-informed care, emotional regulation, and other evidence-based therapeutic approaches.

Rather than simply providing information, we aim to help participants understand themselves and others while developing practical skills they can use.

Trauma-Informed Care

A trauma-informed approach recognizes that people bring different experiences, histories, strengths, and vulnerabilities into every environment.

Our workshops prioritize emotional safety, choice, respect, collaboration, connection, and reducing shame and judgment.

Building Emotional Regulation

Understanding our emotions can help us respond to them with greater awareness and intention.
Workshops may explore emotional triggers, stress responses, grounding, nervous system regulation, and practical strategies for managing difficult emotions such as anxiety, anger, frustration, and overwhelm.

Supporting Connection & Relationships

Our relationships have a significant impact on our emotional wellbeing.

Depending on the workshop, we may explore communication, boundaries, attachment, conflict, belonging, co-regulation, and ways to build healthier relationships.

Every workshop is shaped around the needs and goals of the group.

Find the Right Workshop for Your Group

You may already have a specific topic in mind, or you may simply know that your organization or community would benefit from more mental health education.

Our workshops can be adapted to the age, needs, environment, and goals of your group and offered as a single session, a series of workshops, professional development, or customized community programming.

If you are not sure where to start, tell us a little about your group and what you are hoping to support. We can explore what might be the right fit.

Who Facilitates Our Workshops?

Our workshops are developed and facilitated by qualified mental health professionals.

Our team includes Registered Clinical Counsellors (RCC), Canadian Certified Counsellors (CCC), and Registered Social Workers (RSW), each bringing their own training, experience, and areas of specialization.

We bring our clinical knowledge into the workshop environment while adapting the material to be engaging, accessible, and relevant to the people we are supporting.
