About Rachel
I believe that healing and growth happen when we feel truly seen, heard, and accepted. My goal is to create a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental space where you can explore your experiences openly.
Originally from the Fraser Valley, I spent time living in Northern BC before making the Okanagan home. After several years of raising our young children, I returned to work supporting families in transitions such as adoption and permanency, family restructuring, and reunification. I have walked alongside children and youth facing change and uncertainty, as well as caregivers seeking to better understand attachment needs, navigate behavioural concerns, and strengthen connection within their families.
This meaningful work along with my own lived experience of loss and unexpected change have shaped how I understand resilience, connection, and wellbeing. I have experienced how destabilizing grief and transition can be, but also how healing becomes possible through supportive relationships that offer compassion and understanding. This perspective informs my approach, guiding me in empathy, curiosity, and respect for each person’s unique story.
As a Master of Counselling student fulfilling my internship, I am informed by a person-centred approach, where I believe that each person has the capacity for growth and meaningful change when provided with the right support and environment. The importance of connection, belonging, purpose, and living in alignment with what matters most also features in the care I offer.
I work with individuals, couples, families, children, and youth who may be navigating challenges such as life transitions, relationship concerns, emotional difficulties, stress, anxiety, grief, or questions about identity and purpose. I recognize that reaching out for support can feel vulnerable, and I consider it a privilege to walk alongside clients as they move through life’s challenges and discover their own strengths and resilience.
Whether you are facing a specific challenge or seeking a deeper understanding of yourself, I am committed to meeting you where you are and supporting you in a way that feels authentic, collaborative, and respectful.
